They soon find out that the wishes come true but at a terrifying price. They receive a magical twisted claw that can grant them three wishes apiece. On Halloween night, they trick-or-treat at her house only to find that she has a special treat for them. One night, Dougie and his friend Kevin decide to play a trick on Miss Clove, an old woman who lives in a creepy house. Oddly, it only has 1 Halloween episode in it’s 7 Season run, True, as a horror show you can watch any episode but Goosebumps had more than one. Oh, it’s cheesy but it’s fun for that reason and there’s plenty of stories that work, even if they are rarely amazing. I’ve mentioned the show before but I haven’t gone into my feelings on it. Now for our first actual Halloween episode, and what a fitting show to start with. I’m sure we’ll see better episodes but I think if you have time for some spooky fun, this will fit the bill if you’re looking for something a bit older.įor my real introduction to the show, it’s pretty alright The atmosphere is nice, there’s some amusing moments, and a good ending. Sometimes it’s a bit corny but mostly that works in it’s favor. It’s nothing that complex but it works for this story.

Without spoiling too much, it doesn’t go the route I expected, and what happens is a bit more realistic, at least compared to what usually happens in these stories. As for the story itself, it’s cliché but it works for what it is, and I quite like the conclusion. The atmosphere is the best part of this episode, as they do a good job at setting the mood at various points. Due to the way it’s done, I don’t quite know the characters yet, except for Ted who is a fairly enjoyable jerk. That’s due to the added scary element, since the more subdued scenes were less interesting, as the dialogue and acting are weak sometimes.īut I can forgive that due to the kind of show it is, and sometimes that stuff is done okay. Let’s see how spooky it can be.Īfter a round of ghost stories, the kids try to scare the unscareable Ted.

It’s not one of the more fondly remembered live action shows, but it has it’s place.

What I have seen isn’t too great but I haven’t seen a full episode, so I can’t judge too much. Hey Dude is a show I haven’t’ seen much of. Being a Summer show,this isn’t a Halloween episode (yet it somehow had a direct Christmas episode…), but it aired in November and Nick typically includes on the Halloween lineup, so I’m counting. Will Nick’s offerings give us more treats than Tricks? Let’s jump into these 20 plus specials and find out. We’ve got a decent amount of ground to cover, so I say let’s just jump into. I had to cheat a bit with a few because Nick considers some of these for their lineup, and since they at least aired around the time, I count them. As usual, my rules are only Explicit Halloween episodes, or spooky themed episodes aired around the time. There’s not quite as many as with Disney so that’s good for me. We’re here to review every single Live Action Nick Halloween Episode. But still, we’re not here to bitch about Network practices and what not.

And in the past few years they only had a few shows to show off, which is the real problem. Of the 3 Networks, Disney does the most with Holidays but in the past, Nick was pretty good with it too.īut now Nick is like CN, in that they put Holiday eps roughly around the day and that’s it. I’m a bit more hit or miss with Nick in general so this will be extra fun. Of course,I’ve still seen a fair amount, just not as much as Disney. And recently I’ve only seen some here and there, because I just don’t feel the need to look into every show deeply like with Disney. I only got to watch some of the older shows growing up due to not quite being a 90’s kid, and I really only remember like 2 or 3 strongly. This should be fun, because I’m mostly not quite as familiar with Nick’s Live Action Lineup. We’re officially done with Disney Channel, so it’s time to give other channels some love.
